Curbside Recycling and Trash Collection

  1. All items for curbside collection must be out by 7:00 A.M.

  2. To help the Town reduce costs to taxpayers, please prioritize diversion of items from the trash stream. 

    • You can find more information on recycling, reuse, donation, and other diversion opportunities by visiting the Recycling Commission's webpage here.

  3. Trash is limited to three (3) containers, 96-gallons in total, per household.  The Town does not have a standard container, but does mandate any container meet the the requirements below:

    • Containers designed for automated collection (wheeled, hard-sided, heavy-duty cart with hinged lid) may not exceed 96 gallons. 

    • Containers limited to manual collection should be the 32/35 gallon size, must be under 50lbs, and must be able to be loaded by one person. 

  4. Curbside bulk waste collection effective July 1, 2024.

    • Items (burnable) under 50lbs. and able to be loaded by one person may be collected on your regular day by purchasing a bulk waste sticker ($15) from the Town Clerk or at the locations listed here.  There is a limit of  one (1) item per household per week, and pickups will occur on your regularly scheduled collection day.

    • Burnable Items over 50lbs. may be collected by contacting E.L. Harvey to schedule a pickup and pay a collection and disposal fee.  These items are limited to two (2) items per week and may not be collected on your regularly scheduled collection day.  The fee schedule is posted on the menu on the left of the page.

  5. White goods, bulk metals, and electronics may be collected by contacting E.L. Harvey directly and scheduling a pickup.  Residents will pay fees for this service directly to E.L. Harvey. The fee schedule can be found here.
