Westford Recreation supports the community with safe and affordable programming. Programs are designed to engage participants with activities that are enriching, inclusive, and fun, many utilizing Town of Westford resources, such as Public School facilities, East Boston Camps, and Edwards Beach.

Westford Partnership for Children (WPC)  


Recreation's After School Enrichment Program

Since 2004, Westford Partnership for Children has provided the community with a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for Westford’s school children during after school hours. WPC’s experienced staff fosters meaningful relationships with each student, while focusing on three critical concepts: safety, positive youth development, and academic enrichment and support. 

Westford Recreation's WPC program for grades K-8 runs Monday-Friday from school dismissal to 5:45 p.m. at the following seven schools: Abbot, Crisafulli, Day, Miller, Nabnasset, Robinson, and Stony Brook Middle School.

Special Programs for K-8, School Year 2021-22


Westford Recreation provides support for parents and children with full-day and full-week special programs during Westford Public School’s parent conferences, professional development days, and February and April school vacations. Special program events are educational, inspiring, and fun, and include a variety of locations and activities.

October 12, Professional Development Day: Lanni Orchards and East Boston Camp
November 22, Parent Conferences: Tyngsboro Sports Center and Movie at O'Neil Cinemas
February 22-25, February Vacation for grades K-8: Millworks and Altitude Trampoline Park, Tyngsboro Sports Center and Tubing at McIntyre Ski Area, Chunkys and Roller Kingdom, Plaster Fun Time and Sports and Fitness with Mr. Ben!  
March 21, Parent Conferences: Mass Audubon's Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon, MA,
for grades K-5 

April Vacation for grades K-8: Altitude Trampoline Park, Ecotarium, Stone Zoo and  Kimballs Farm. 
May 3:  Town Voting and Professional Development Day,
MEL'S FUNWAY: Go Kart, Bumper Boat, Mini Golf, Lazer Tag and more!


Please note: February and April Vacation Special Programs are available for grades K-8. Enrollment is open to children from Westford, as well as to children from Westford's surrounding communities.

Westford Recreation Summer Weekly Programs

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Westford Recreation Summer Weekly programs for children are packed with activities designed for each program’s mission and age group. Led by the Site Directors who run our popular afterschool enrichment program (WPC), these lively, full-week programs are staffed with energetic counselors – high school and college aged – who are First Aid and CPR certified. 

Our Summer Weekly Programs tap into three Town of Westford resources, Edwards Beach, Nabnasset School, and Burges Pond at East Boston Camps, providing a great summertime setting for beach and waterfront activities. All activities are monitored by certified lifeguards specifically hired for Recreation summer programs.

Enjoy nine weeks of SUMMER FUN with very flexible full-week schedules, early arrival, extended day, and swim lesson options. 2022 Registration coming soon!

Summer Beach Party at Destination Exploration, East Boston Camps  Learn more>
Summer program coverage just when you need it – the last week in June and in mid-August, dependent on the Westford Public School calendar. For ages 4-13.

Kids Club at the Nabnasset School  Learn more>
Fast-Paced, fun-filled activities, both inside and outdoors, for children at all levels. For ages 4-13, Monday-Friday. ARPA FUNDING for Eligible Applicants: Funding for one week of Kids Club or one week of WPC After School Program will be awarded to eligible Westford residents. Beaches, Swimming, and more with Westford Recreation


The 2021 summer season for Edwards Beach and Forge Pond Beach has concluded.
Playgrounds remain open.


Beach hours and fees for the 2021 season:

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Fee: Westford Residents are free, but must have proof of residency.
Nonresidents are $5 per person, per day. (Charge includes access to the
Forge Beach Playground and the Ronan McElligott playground at Edwards Beach.)
Nonresidents may purchase a season pass at the beaches for $75 for a family of five.
Three and under, and 65 and over are free.

Bathrooms are available at Edwards Beach and Forge Pond Beach during the summer season only.

Edwards Beach and Forge Pond Beach are community resources to be enjoyed by the public year round from dawn to dusk. During the off-season, please help us keep these facilities clean by following a Carry-in/carry-out trash protocol. We appreciate your help!
