Hope Blooms Here

You are invited to join the Hope Blooms Here event to smash the stigma associated with mental illness by celebrating a the Hope Gardens filled with yellow tulips donated by Emerson Health. The celebration will include speakers, resource tables, and activities like planting a flower and writing a positive message on a hope rock and enjoying Kimball Farm ice cream.

Date/Time: Tuesday, May 1, 2025  5:00pm - 6:30pm

The Town of Westford, MA, does hereby proclaim the month of May as Mental Health Awareness Month; We also call upon all Westford residents, agencies, public and private institutions, businesses, and schools to recommit our community to increasing overall awareness and understanding of mental health, reducing stigma and discrimination of mental illnesses, and promoting appropriate and accessible mental health services for all people. Mental Health Awareness Poster Contest 2024:

The contest was offered to 6th, 7th and 8th grade Westford residents. The students created a poster based on their answer to this question - What helps you relieve stress? Below are the winners of the contest and the their posters.

May is Mental Health Awareness month and the Town hosted a kick off event at the Town Common on May 1, 2023. The event speakers included See a New Sun Foundation (SANS), Senator John Cronin, Emma Kotelly from Congresswoman Lori Trahan's office, and Select Board Member Scott Hazelton presented the Mental Health Awareness Month proclamation.
