December 11, 2020
Dear Residents of Westford,
On December 10th, the Commonwealth released its weekly public health report, and it shows that our residents are currently at a dangerously high-risk from COVID-19.. The rate of COVID cases locally is higher than the state’s average. We need to do more to protect our families, loved ones, and community. You can save a life by taking action. Our local numbers and data are clearly trending upward quickly and reports from public safety have indicated that gatherings are still happening. Gatherings are strongly discouraged, but if you must have a gathering, even if it is with family, please keep it very small, wear a mask and socially distance.
Please take steps now:
Wear a mask when outside, or inside shared spaces where you can’t keep a safe distance from others
- Wash your hands often.
- Stay home when you can.
- Keep gatherings small – even with family and friends and make sure everyone wears a mask and keeps a safe distance.
- Don't share food or drinks.
- Stay home if you feel sick.
- Follow travel quarantine guidelines.
- Avoid Carpooling when possible
- Get tested.

Stay safe everyone, we will weather the storm.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey P. Stephens, R.S. CP-FS
