National Grid is working closely with emergency responders who are assisting Columbia Gas with a response to multiple fires in Lawrence, Andover, and North Andover. As the electricity provider in these communities, National Grid’s assistance has included de-energizing approximately 4,500 customers in the area as requested by emergency officials in the affected communities. Though the gas system impacted is not within National Grid gas territory, we have offered the assistance of our gas employees to Columbia, and we remain at the ready to support.
National Grid’s gas system across all of our gas communities is operating normally and is not impacted by the situation in Lawrence, Andover, and North Andover.

If any electrical outages do occur in your area, it is imperative that they be reported via our Customer Service or Outage Reporting phone numbers (provided below). Every outage phone call that we receive is logged into our outage tracking system and better enables us to pinpoint the location of the issue. The sooner that we can identify the location of the issue, the quicker we can respond.
