Westford Partnership for Children (WPC) After School Enrichment for Grades K-8

WPC is off to the races too as Session 1 enrollment has surpassed last year’s numbers. This fall WPC has seen a substantial increase in K-2 enrollments at Nabnasset, Miller, and Robinson Schools. Additionally, there have been several new students that have entered the program during the later stages of their elementary school career.

Every fall WPC hires new high school students to work alongside each school’s WPC Site Director and team of seasoned counselors. The majority of this year’s WPC counselors have participated in the Parks & Rec summer Leadership program, a 3-week teen-focused curriculum with programming that includes Team Building, CPR and First Aid Certification, as well as other exercises that stress creative thinking and innovation.

This year, WPC is offering a variety of activities, such as Chess Wizards, American Sign Language, Tennis with Marcus Lewis, No-Bake Cooking, and more.

SAVE THE DATE: October 10 is a Professional Development day. WPC takes pride in its Special Program itinerary full of unique events and locations that are educational, inspiring, and fun. For a real “treat” this October we are offering a seasonal visit to Salem, MA.  More details to come. WPC Special Programs are available for all WPC participants as well as for children who are not registered for the WPC program.

Don’t forget: The WPC Middle School REC Club program at Stony Brook includes age appropriate activities, homework blocks, and time to just hang out with friends. Blanchard students are bused to Stony upon dismissal for no additional fee.

Though the WPC Session 1 has already started (August 29-October 27, 2017), you can enroll for WPC programs at any point during the session. Registration Forms can be found at 22 Town Farm Road, or visit Register>Programs>WPC After School Program on westfordrec.com.

Westford Parks & Recreation After School Enrichment Program for K-8, provides a safe, stimulating, and fun environment Monday through Friday, from school dismissal until 5:45 p.m. WPC has proudly served eight Westford Public Schools for over ten years. To learn more about WPC, visit westfordrec.com. Westford Partnership for Children (WPC) is a Parks & Recreation sponsored After School Enrichment Program in collaboration with Westford Public Schools.

Tennis is for Everyone with the Marcus Lewis Tennis Extension Program (MLTEP)

Enjoy Fall Tennis at Stony Brook Middle School Courts with the Marcus Lewis Tennis Extension Program. This is the fourth year that Westford Parks & Recreation has partnered with MLTEP, an extension program that has provided Westford’s community with local, quality instruction for all ages, and all levels. New to Tennis? MLTEP offers a Junior and an Adult “Try Tennis” Class. Now is your chance to get out on the courts and take a tennis lesson for FREE.

This fall, start MLTEP classes at any time. Class charges will be prorated.
