Septic systems need to be maintained regularly to work properly. It is recommended that systems be inspected and the septic tank pumped at least every 3 years.  Neglect or abuse of your septic system can cause a health threat to both you and the environment. Failing systems can also reduce your property value and can be expensive to repair.
