Dear Families, Staff, Students, Town Employees, Elected Officials, and Community Members:
The American Rescue Plan Act was authorized to provide states with funding to support the nation's schools to safely reopen and sustain safe operations while meeting the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of students resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Westford Public Schools has received $587,730 from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (i.e. ESSER III), which must be spent by September of 2024. School districts are required to solicit feedback from the public in order to develop plans to prioritize and spend these funds. In order to capture a broad audience, Westford Public Schools has developed a survey to gather input regarding the themes for which the funds are intended. Please take a few minutes to complete the Stakeholder Input Survey. Responses must be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 22 at 3:00 PM.
Thank you for your attention and partnership as we continue our efforts to provide the best learning experience for the students of Westford.
Sincerely,
Christopher Chew, Ed.D
Superintendent of Schools
