Recycling Curbside

General Information

Place recycling bin or toter at your curb by 7 a.m. Residents options for recycling containers are listed on the Recycling Bins and Toters page or use one of the following:
  • IPR toter - Use your recycling toter provided by IPR, our recycling vendor.
  • 64 gallon toter purchase - Mail a check payable to the "Westford Recycling Commission" at:
    • Westford Recycling Commission
      55 Main Street
      Westford 01886
  • The current price is $50. You may also bring a check to the Town Clerk's office at the Westford Town Hall; please include your name, address, and phone number. You will next receive a call about when and where to pick up your toter(s).
  • Use any sturdy trash barrel (maximum capacity 40 gallons; maximum content weight 50 pounds) and affix a "Recycle" sticker. Free stickers are available at the office of the Town Clerk. Sticker should face the street; extend life by securing with clear packing tape. Place recycling barrels apart from trash containers.
Acceptable items: Paper, plastics, glass, metal, and paperback books, and more. The glass jars, metal cans and plastic bottles or jugs should be rinsed and may all be mixed together in one container. Important note: please, only clean items; no broken glass. Westford curbside recycling program details and schedules are included in the Westford Recycling Guide (PDF), and the Westford Curbside Recycling Guide is mailed to every household in June.
