Westford Assessors Mission Statement
The Westford Assessors' Office and the Board of Assessors, as a professional team, exists to maintain equitable market value assessments by providing excellence in public service through complete, accurate, and timely assessments of all property subject to taxation competently and diligently as mandated under Massachusetts State law and to treat all people fairly and respectfully.
In compliance with the Department of Revenue's certification and interim certification regulations, the Westford Board of Assessors conducts annually, a Measure and List of real and personal property. This project is done annually by Assessor's Office staff and/or in conjunction with independent contractors. These parcels consist of properties with building permits, properties that have been identified for re-inspection, properties that have not been inspected in the last 5-7 years, and sales. The purpose is to continually update Assessor records.
Real estate exemptions cannot be accepted after April 1 for the current fiscal year. Real estate abatement applications are only available from January 1 - February 1. If you have any questions check our FAQs or call the Assessor's Office at 978-692-5504.
