Department of Public Works
Mission Statement
The Department of Public Works provides executive and administrative support and oversight to the Engineering, Highway, GIS, and Parks, Grounds, & Cemetery Departments, the Water Enterprise, and the Stormwater Enterprise. Through sound management, teamwork, and innovation the Departments aims to provide quality, responsive, and dependable services that are consistent with Westford’s core values. We work to maximize the efficient and effective use of our resources to manage, protect, preserve, and improve the Town’s Roadways, Sidewalks, Bridges, Dams, Cemeteries, Public Grounds, Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater infrastructure and related assets.

GIS (Mapping)
The mission of the Town of Westford GIS Department is to promote, and develop a geographic information system resource for local decision makers and the general public.
-
Highway Department
The highway department services nearly 175 miles of roads, doing resurfacing, road improvements, and snow removal. The department is also responsible for care of the common grounds around municipal buildings except the schools.
