Pine Grove Cemetery
Westford’s newest cemetery opened on November 10, 2000, at 68 Forge Village Road near the town’s Water Department about 2 miles west of Westford Center. A quiet sanctuary surrounded by a grove of pine trees, the established part of the cemetery is just under 3 acres and still being expanded. Pine Grove will be Westford’s largest cemetery at 11.7 acres when it is fully developed and landscaped. A significant percentage of current burials are military veterans.
Westford built its Columbarium, a six-sided column of (material) with private niches to hold cremains, here at Pine Grove in 2012. A center garden, where a solar-powered flag pole stands, is maintained by the family of Christina Buretta in her memory. Nicholas Olson, an Eagle Scout from Westford Troop 159, built the white gazebo in 2014.
Should you visit Pine Grove, please observe our rules and regulations and respect this space. To preserve the integrity of the headstones, making rubbings or tracings is not permitted. Only lot owners may clean their family headstone or monument. Do not sit, lean, or climb on headstones.
