The annual Walk for Education is a community fundraising event that’s hosted by the Westford Education Foundation, WEF.
The walk begins at the Westford Common and ends at Westford Academy, where public transportation will be available to give rides back to the Common.
WEF, is an independent non-profit organization that promotes innovative educational initiatives. We raise money to provide grants to teachers and other members of the school community.
In the past five years, WEF has awarded over $52,000 in grants, funding projects like the Living Lab, Math Mania Museum, sound improvements to the WA Performing Arts Center, and the Westford Whale Project.
