The Westford Health Department is partnering with Lowell General Hospital and the Westford Healthy Kids Coalition for a "Let's Move" event!

Rene Bibaud, a five-time jump rope world champion, ESPN commentator and former artist and coach of Cirque Du Soleil, educates, motivates and demonstates the benefits - of what she calls the single best fitness tool - the jump rope!  Rene shares her life experiences with the audience while performing fun, interactive jump rope skills & dynamic hands-on lessons for all ages.  Rene's presentation includes lots of audience participation as well as time for Q&A, photos, and autograph signing.  Check out Rene and RopeWorks  (www.ropeworkjumprope.com).

Let's Move Westford Health Fair and Safety Day

Special thanks to all the vendors and residents who attended the “Let’s Move Westford” Health Fair and Safety Day on 4-21. Approximately 250- 300 residents attended. It was a wonderful event and a perfect kickoff for this year long initiative to help fight obesity through increased exercise and better nutrition! The Health Department will continue to collaborate with area hospitals, businesses, town departments, groups and organizations to help make Westford a healthier and more active community.
