Three commissioners are appointed by the Town Manager. They are responsible for the policies as they relate to the Town's six cemeteries. The superintendent is a full-time employee of the Parks and Recreation Department. The Cemetery Department now operates as part of the Parks and Recreation Department.
Westford Cemeteries
The Old Pioneer Burying Ground
Located on Carlisle Road at the corner of Old Lowell Road. There are unmarked stones located here, no marked graves. Some believe it was a family burying ground, others think that it may be a native american burial site.
Fairview Cemetery
10.45 acres
Located on Main Street at the corner of Tadmuck Road. Originally called the "East Burying Ground" then later known as the "Snow Cemetery". This is probably the oldest burying ground. The oldest tombstone is dated 1702.
Westlawn Cemetery
1.7 acres
Located on Concord Road on the Southwest and Country Road on the East.
Also known as "West Burying Ground".
Wright Cemetery
4.5 acres
Located on Groton Road (Route 40) about 1/4 mile east of North Road.
Hillside Cemetery
1 acre
Also known as the "North Burying Ground" or "Nutting Road Cemetery". Located on Depot Road at the corner of Nutting Road.
Pine Grove Cemetery
Westford's newest cemetery. Located on Forge Village Road about 1/2 mile west of Cold Spring Road.
