The Massachusetts Historical Records Advisory Board is currently working to develop a documentation typology to identify areas in a community that must be documented to ensure that a representative record of the state's history is preserved. (More information about this can be found on their website, (http://www.state.ma.us/sec/arc/arcaac/aacmdt.htm ). In the following chart, this documentation typology has been applied to Westford's records. When members of Westford's historical community review this, I am certain they will be able to fill in some of the categories left blank.
The numbers refer to the collections examined as part of this survey.
