REMINDER-WESTFORD TAXPAYERS
First (1st) quarter real estate/personal property tax bills are due MONDAY AUGUST 3, 2009. Please include coupon#1 from the June 30, 2009 mailing, when paying your bill. Interest at a rate of 14% will accrue on overdue payments received after August 3, 2009. Online payment is available, until August 3, 2009 at the Town website (westfordma.gov). Payment maybe made at the Tax Collector's office, located at Town Offices at the Millennium Building, 23 Depot Street.
Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills are mailed semi-annually. Tax payments are due quarterly (August 1, November 1, February 1 and May 1). First and second quarter bills will be mailed the last week of June, third and fourth quarter bills will be mailed the last week of December. A coupon will be provided for each quarter . Please use coupon 1 for the first payment and coupon 2 for the second. If you should have questions pertaining to the amount due, please call the Collector's office (978-692-5506).

MUNICIPAL LIEN CERTIFICATES
Municipal Lien Certificates (MLC) is a legal document that lists taxes and assessments owed on a parcel. These documents are usually requested for the preparation of a refinance or sale of a property for the protection of the property owner.
Obtaining a Certificate - The fee for each certificate is $25.00 per parcel. Each request must include the map and parcel, owner's name, property description, identifying sale or refinance and a stamped self addressed envelope. Check payable to the Town of Westford and mailed to the Collector's Office.
